This year marks the 69th year of the Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots.

The year long process collects toys across the region to be distributed to children in need. Toys will be collected at events including the “Spirit of Christmas Parade” tomorrow in Altoona.  This year, toys will begin to be distributed on December 15th.

Staff Sgt. Diego Rojas is the coordinator of this year’s drive. He explained, “All the work we do is well worth it in the end when you see a child or a family that really brightens up their day when they get that toy. When you touch somebody’s life, when you make a difference in someone’s life, it’s well worth it.”

The Marine Reserves are looking for volunteers to help with the drive. Those interested can contact Staff Sgt. Rojas at 814-691-6440 EXT 221 or on their website.
